hey dale franks knifefighter… I thought you said you were a gracie BJJ black belt. Is this true?
I sure am.
sorry ot all you ufc/mma fans, i meant matt hughes, they all look alike to me.
law and order???
THATS FUNNY BECAUSE I TARDED OUT THE SAME WAY AND EVEN THO YOU WROTE FORREST GRIFFIN, IN MY HEAD I WAS THINKING MATT HUGHES TOO… sorry caps was on…
weird huh…
anyways, my point stands… his wrestling helped him alot… also i wouldnt say matt hughes has no submission experience… the guy has been fighting all types for a long time now… his wrestling took him to that level, but rounding out and learning the rest of the game is what kept him at that level… he`s a vet with a lot of experience in all ranges…
I sure am.
which gracie
which club
because I have Chuck anzelone teaching BJJ in the MMA class in my school and he has never heard of you adn sai he knows all of the certified guys, and you are not one of them so I was wondering who certifed you? and do you have recod of it? While I know thier are different camps for the gracie family, I know you would all know each other. I know all the other 8 step sifu’s in the US and nto one fo them doesnt know me and the other shifu’s because we are all the same family

nobody knows every gracie BB… and you dont have to learn directly from a gracie to learn gracie jj…
im learning carlson gracie jj… explain that one then… if he`s dead how can i learn it? simple, from his BB or BB from his BB… its still carlson gracie jj tho… we still rock the triangle and bulldog and pay respects were its due…
Why do CMA people feel so threatened by BJJ.
It’s not even remotely in the same plane as CMA.
CMA teaches standup combat and throwing.
BJJ teaches ground game and average takedowns.
WOW YOU CAN DO BOTH AND LEARN BOTH RANGES WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED?
syn
actually they do, they have a list of who’s who and who gets the creditiation of black belt, not a list of whos training cuz many people quite before the are certified BB and that list is pretty long so no need to keep track, but they dont give BB away so for sure a list is kept. And from what I asked Dale Franks name is not on it!

but if you were to earn your black belt Rick de la Riva would be the one who signs it and your name would be listed.![]()

Where, exactly, is this list of all the world’s BJJ blackbelts?

those kind of rings are extremely effective. things like that are also a reason i always wear leather jacket if its not too hot out. i would hate to have to defend from someone with that…
but if you were to earn your black belt Rick de la Riva would be the one who signs it and your name would be listed.:D
not true… your main teacher would be the one who gives it to you… maybe somebody higher in the pyramid would come and do you honor but it isnt always like that… besides, bb isnt the highest grade…
there a sooooo many gracie jj blackbelts… the idea that they are all on one list is… well… laughable…
i can see how there could be a list for say, caesar gracie, for example, BB who recieved from caesar himself… or any gracie that teaches… but even then, if you only counted guys who got a BB from a man named gracie, there still probably isnt a list… the family has lost control of alot of their intellectual property in this case… there are bjj teachers who are in a gracie line who teach under other names, their own family name or whatever…
anyways, i do no gi… its a bit different…

syn7,
I understand your point, and I know BB is not the hightest grade, please give me some credit here. to me BB is beginning of your MA path.
I am llooking for kniefighter to post his certification becuse i do not beleive he has one, I might be wrong but, i have a feeling he doesnt, just looking for proof. please stop trying to protect him, thanks

He’s a 2nd degree BB, and yes, it easy to find Dale’s info.
But since you asked him…

Do you really think Prof De La Riva’s name is “Rick”?
