That is the realm of play 1850 among Leong Jan, Yik Kam, which has become legend of WCK in general.
Thus, it breaks hard Qigong.
Thanks for sharing Hendrik. Here is a little info from the Kulo family on the depth of cultivation of Master Leung Jan and his âSpring Powerâ! It is just a small piece of a longer story but good info.. The below demo took place after a young sifu challenged and lost to Master Leung Jan in a pole fight! Back to lurk mode!
Enjoy:
So Leung thought to show him what was âreal spring powerâ and asked his staff to bring out 7 walnuts and place them on his desk. He then asked for 7 olives to have their pits removed. He placed the pits on top of the walnuts and then using the Spring Power of his pole he struck each walnut knocking the olive pit inside. The walnuts had only a small hole and were not broken. Neither was the desk broken. When the young Sifu saw this he recognized and stated that Leung Jan truly had superior skill!
There are lots of stuffs in the past which we dont know and can not imagine with our thinking today.
IMHO, we cant do that because we have never train up to that state.
As what sensei Hino Akira punching demonstrate is simple easy stuffs but if we have not the foundation, one just cant imagine that is possible.
For me, From Jackâs falling step to Hinoâs tsuki there is no boundary on race or nationality but it is a matter of how deep oneâs attainment. momentum generation and handling is momentum generation and handling, IMHO, what a WCner needs to ask is can oneâs SLT train one to do those?

The sifu in this clip appears to be just redirecting his studentâs force through his skeletal frame into the ground similar to what master Tsui Sheung Tin does with the scale.

is this what you mean by hua jing?
and how is the snake engine related to this?
I dont know what you mean and I dont know what TST does. So cant comment in it.
However, you mention â on into the groundâŚetc.
Nope. Not what you think. into the ground and hua jin is different stuffs as I have repeat a number of time.
How is what TST doing in the clip above different from what the tai chi guy was doing in your clip?

The force has to go somewhere Hendrik, it just doenât disappear into thin air unless you are Chris Angel:)

Which tai chi guy? CXW and Feng are ina class by themselves.
TST is just demonstrating- that has itsâ limits if the other guy moves away or pulls without telegraphing.
Force can be dispersed-or and redistrubuted depending on what where or where when..with real skilled folks- it may not be very obvious-feeling rather than seeing becomes more importamt.
But even with neijia kinds of stuff one needs attacking and defensive principles- demonstration is not enough IMO.
Hope that by this time you already know, there is no way to learn this stuffs without a good Sifu and coach who is willing to reveal the process to a commit person who is sincere intending to put the effort to learn.
This is the exact thing I am talking about! No awareness of bio-mechanics for those who think this is something special.
It is ALL bio-mechanics, it is a trick. Just look at the way the people are standing! Legs wide! It is not internal power it is technique and compliant opponents.
It is like a magic trick. Once you know the trick, it is no longer amazing.
The other techniques are standard Aikido âamaze the audienceâ tricks. Compliant opponents, static, prearranged scenarios, grabs and locks not completely set.
It all makes for a good show, but is no demonstration of dynamic skill or real world ability!
the guy in the back was throwing himself back and doing a bad job at acting like he wasnt
this isnt the same guy who got himself kod on that bullshido clip is it?
I donât think it is the same guy, but how about we see him do the same things against some real opponents or larger opponents?

and people who arent his students lol
IT is extremely strange that
you take what TST do which is exactly opposite of what the Taiji sifu teaching as the same;
TST has to use his both arms and body arrangement to balance the opponents force and send that force to the scale . using his structure as a bridge or channel to transport the force to the scale.
The Taiji sifu just stand there relax and let the high density force in the tip of the pole inject into his body directly without doing anything. absorb the incoming force such that the opponent cant find a ground path and decrease his applied force or pull out due to the opponent become unstable if force is continues applied.
How is that be the same?
and now posting these unrelated clips before you figure out what is going on.
The TST clip is a great demo of balancing capability and leading the force vectors to the scale, but in real life it is not as practical as the taiji ability demonstraton clip in term of adaptive needs and handling in coming force vectors.
Look at TSTâs is adjusting his arms and lean his body to compensate/balancing the in coming force.
That is because TST rely on a certain shape of structure to balance himself (TST is uses force against force with the aid of statics structure)
where the taiji sifu is just being relax in a neutra dynamic adaptive post and need not to hold on to a static structure which has to counter the incoming force. at the high density pole tip force applying situation the TST type might not be able to counter the force or send the force to the ground, similar to when the pole is place between the leg and the lower abs.
Hua Jin means beable to take the incoming force without resist or counter it but absorb it. Thus, it is not TST type.
