Greetings,

Being the wonderfully tech savvy person that I am, I have been struggling to upload the article since Saturday. That is why I provided the other info.

verily i say unto thee, yay, even with that upside down crab technique, the jujitsu guy can confidently defeat the most trained of wing chun men.

never forget the tragic parable of john f springer, omar “baji badass” and rudy abel. may their story always remind us of the folly of all chinatown hobby lobby heroes

My point was that BJJ is getting over specialized. Compare that upside down stuff with old school bjj
I haven’t see a thread relating a style that do both punch, kick, throws and ground fighting in TCMA in the past history as long as we can recollect written data. /QUOTE]

Mig,

Good topic. May be that is so is not a coincident. IHHO, the person who gets to the ground is at a disadvantage relative to the standing opponent. But do not get me wrong, sometimes it is better for us to get to the ground rather than try our best not to. Just try not to receive injury on ourself during the fall and afterwards.

7 pages of discussion trying to figure out how to use lunge punch. these are internal “experts”. we need to pull the plank out of own eyes first

when japanese pirates were beating chinese soldiers, general qi trained his soldiers in japanese swordfighting. there is no shame in learning from those who defeat you.

even if you only learned one thing, like the bridge, then do hip thrust until you can thrust 300 pounds. then when someone mount you, you can send them flying to the sky. or if you only learn mount. then train thighs until you can squeeze 200 pounds and your thighs look like tree trunks. then when you mount someone you crush their ribs. this is the spirit of shaolin kung fu.

earth training

I agree it is a good topic. TCMA ground work is based upon making a mistake. One goes to the ground due to an incontrovertible mis-judgement. The caveat is that during the course of multi-opponent combat, if one stays on the ground, they are either seriously injured or die. The goal of earth training in TCMA is that if the fall occurs, on the way down, do as much damage to the opponent one is falling with as possible, so that they cannot recover and continue to challenge; instantly recovering to a standing position, from one’s own most advantageous position, instantly going on to the next opponent to engage them. Easy to say, hard to do. Takes an incredible amount of conditioning, as Bawang alludes to, in order to be successful in pulling such a situation off. Ground training in and of itself is dangerous training where a person can hurt self seriously during the course of training. It is a slow, graded process to develop TCMA ground training. But, as Thomas Carlyle said, “If a person truly believes it, they can swim in the very earth itself.”

ground pound can be proven to exist in kung fu but not joint locking on the ground. actual form showing half mount is found in long fist and full mount exists in southern boxing forms. ditang boxing shows the basic escapes from ground pound. however only the shanghai police manual shows ground grappling and they probably learned it from the japanese since shanghai was a foreign colony.

John F had an attempted tackle pulled on him by “Osiris”. Nthing came of it and by all views, John F had locked Osiris up and he could do nothing.

Omar was there to fight anna trocity, a wanabe at the time who many thought was a dude playing a girl in order to get higher ma points, anyway, nothing came of that and Anna and Osiris an their friend all piled back into a truck and sped off after the Osiris vs Springer confrontation.

Rudy was rocking the guy and then someone thought that it’s ony fair if Rudy was at a disadvantage.

In all cases, none of that meant anything.

You did watch those videos right? :stuck_out_tongue:

it would have been unimportant cripple fight, except all 3 kung fu guys were claiming elite kung fu expert status and all 3 of them were bragging about supreme kung fu on bullshido forum.

couldnt even beat up a tranny, a kid and a fat hawaiian guy with 3 month bjj white belt training

That was a good lesson.

We need to see more like that.

Springer was taken down mounted couldn’t escape punched in the face repeatedly as he tried to deperatly hold on. And this was a kung fu master who travelled to Europe teaching antu grappling seminars lol

The fact he managed to hold on in Mount says more about his opponents lack of real ground skills than jfs abilities, if orisis actually could have framed he would have fed him his teeth even more than he did
Mind you he was only a blue belt fighting an anti grappling master.

I think we can all agree that in every instance, these altercations were complete bunk and not representative of any martial art and more representative to clinging to a pathos of truth all round.

CLassic !
LMAO !

Somewhat serious question.

Who are tranny fighters allowed to fight in the ring ? Who wants to fight them ? I guess it basically means they will fight either sex ? But will either sex want to fight them ?

Looks like one guy could not wait to get it on with him/her asap.

This is actually something the really confuses me. I could care less what anyone want to be anymore. Have at it. But for me, this cause great understanding issues. I would be like, why is the transguy wanting to beat me up? WTF did I do? Id likely avoid him period if I did not have to interact with him. Again, not because I care he is a tranny, I just don’t want to know a lot about it.

Bullshido does that all round. A lot of chest puffing and such.
It’s ridiculous online. I have to say, there are people in all camps who fail at staying chill in the face of trolls.
Historically, it’s happened to all of us at one time or another. That’s how trolls become trolls after all.

Bottom line is that there are less than 200 fighters male and female around the whole entire world that are making good bank from just having a fight or two a year. And, as soon as one is on the hill, it’s not long before another comes along to knock them down. That is the folly of martial artists and the thinking one is superior to another etc.
