Technically, you are “leaning” any time you move forward.
LaRoux, You just contradict to yourself big time. You posted a sprinters pictire and told me that they all run without leaning. Here was the picture that you posted.
Leaning has nothing to do with it. Look at the image of the sprinters I posted above.

Umm… no. The force of gravity is downward, not forward.
Now you use the opposite argument to agrue with anerlich. This futher prove that you just want to argue for the sake of argument.

“You can’t have speed if your body is vertical” is what you said. So, if you are talking about leaning in the upper body, then you are clearly wrong. People can have speed with the upper body completely upright.
If you are talking about leaning, as in flexing the joints of the lower body to move the center of gravity forward, then you are right.
OK, my bad then. I missed that as those images showed the upper body leaning and they didn’t seem to show any forward movement. I thought you were talking about the upper body.
If you weren’t talking about the upper body, then negative 6 points for me.
With such a basic lack of WC knowledge I would like to know a little about LaRoux’s so called martial arts experience. What style(s) have you learned, what rank did you earn in that style, who promoted you, when and where. I am not into teaching martial arts frauds. I’ve seen way too many so called “Masters” and “Black Belts” that promoted themselves to that rank and then open up a school.

That’s OK. Based on the clips I’ve seen, I doubt you could teach me anything anyway.
You can go ahead and keep your so-called knowledge. I’ll be fine without it.
Any legitimate martial artist with any kind of senior rank could easily tell everyone what style he learned, what rank he achieved, who promoted him to that rank and when he earned that rank. Without being able to do that one is a complete fraud. I have no time for frauds in the martial arts.

Any legitimate martial artist has no problem discussing techniques.
Without being able to do that, one and one’s organization are complete frauds.
Oh is this the martial arts fraud talking. You obviously have no background in the martial arts or you would be able to answer those simple questions anyone else could easily answer. You probably run a martial arts school and love to swindle everyone out of their time and money. Go back to watching the UFC on tv. Your opinion obviously means nothing.

You mean I’m a swindler like those guys who charge money and teach crappy made-up fantasy grappling techniques claiming that they are some kind of wing chun?
LaRoux, there you go again. Are you a real fighter or are you an armchair fighter? You seem to talk a lot about what you see but can’t tell us about what you know or have accomplished? I’m beginning to think you’re not any better at defending the truth than you are at fighting.

I’m just a regular Joe sitting her questioning why your techniques are so completely different than the ones that have been proven to work in real-time situations and for which there is significant evidence.
I mean a regular Joe has to wonder that kind of thing about this, especially when all the instructors from that entire system can’t even discuss those techniques and compare them to the established ones that are out there.
So far, I seem to be doing a pretty good job at defending the truth and you guys sure are helping me out a lot with that, so thanks.
Well a brief period of honesty from martial arts fraud LaRoux. I hate to break it to you but we all knew you were an arm chair warrior. What is really sad is you equate sitting in your chair watching UFC on tv and youtube videos with real training. While you sit there all comfy eating that bag of potato chips those of us with a real love for the martial arts are sweating and more often than not getting banged up actually doing it. What a novel thought. Then you expect us to explain anything to you. Don’t think so. If you want something explained go to a ligit school and work your butt off like we do.
