I was posted a couple of posts designed to make you guys think in ONE thread!
I certainly didnt insult anyone or attempt to start any arguments.
Rolling Hand and Sui-fuw have a lot to say (when they want and it WILL be cryptic) and we can all learn ‘something’ from them, stop calling troll at everyone and just accept some will see things from a differnt view point.
To be honest i find it much more disgusting as a non wing chun practioner to view all of your infighting and debates regarding ‘true’ or ‘pure’ Wing Chun.
There is a joke among CMA practioners.

Seems to me that what should be deleted is the thread about WingChun porn. after all it is derogatory, and Insulting lineages. Yet it is allowed to be carried on because of this hidden dislike for the Moy Yat lineage.

as for whippy being banned- if true, i probably argued with him as much as anyone but banning him is a bit heavy handed.
if you didn’t like what he had to say you just ignore it(which i did personally on many more than one occassion) & move on to the next post.

Oh, bull. Nobody said anything about lineages. The topic is WTF are porn pics doing on a professional martial arts site. A nice change from all the personal sniping around here lately.
When one of the moderators proposed banning Whippinghand, I voted against the proposal.
Sui-fuw has demonstrated, in a very short time, that it is possible to be much more annoying, vacuous, and tedious, and I stand by my original vote.
Sui, try a few dozen more smilies in those posts, huh?

I don’t really feel that anyone has said anything negative about SiTaiGung or his Ving Tsun. I do believe we had some folks who weren’t real familiar with art and weren’t sure how to handle Moy Yat’s work but that says more about their exposure to the art world than Moy Yat. You know how people react to some of his erotic art, I have SiHings who were freaked out about it at first but then they realized that an artist doing erotic art is nothing perverted and is in fact quite common. If Mr. Hand really was banned he did ask for it by spreading tales about SiHing73 all over the internet and doing his best to be a disturbance on this board. I for one think that’s too bad because despite his online personality he did know what he was talking about but as they say a jerk with 20 years of training is still a jerk so he is solely responsible for whatever actions the moderator has taken against him.
Kuen- I disagree.
List: I think that banning should not be taken lightly.
Styles of posting vary and if civility was the main criterion and the moderator has unlimited power lots of folks could be banned.
I dont endorse unregulated powers of moderators and censors
and they are not proprietors of the list.
I dont talk behind people’s backs… I have said it openly and say so again… the moderators on this wc list - their apparent logic
in interpreting the rules are neither fish nor fowl.
Administration is an art… anyone can selectively or mechanically apply rules— without a coherent sense of purpose.
Some of the threads specially with sui and others is absolutely hopeless and on many threads- some of the more knowledgeable folks have been practically silent.
The main difference that I see between the VTAA and this list is that this list has moderators whose powers exceed their grasp.
Banning and Moderation in General

I will say this once and then leave it alone. The banning of a member is not something taken lightly nor is it randomly enacted. Regardless of what some members think the actions of the individual bring with them certain consequences.
The banning of a member is not something which is a one person thing. Without going into great detail I can tell everyone that this was a joint decision and was not based on one persons views. In the decision making process the input of several forum members was considered as well as the individual in question. An e-mail was sent to the person advising of the situation and giving him a chance to modify his approach. By choosing not to do so, the result was already determined. Much like Wing Chun the reaction of the Moderators and Administrators was decided by the energy of the person in question.
I can fully understand and appreciate the feelings of everyone involved, even those I do not agree with. However, this is a forum which is provided to us to use free of charge. Certain responsibilities come with that use and by registering everyone agrees to these requirements. While one may have the right of free speech and expression when one joins a community then there is a greater right of the community as a whole. Besides, posting on the KFO is not a “right” it is a “privilege” and ones “rights” must be consider in that aspect.
Having said that I still feel that this is a place where individuals can share and communicate fairly evenly. Different lineages are represented and for the most part things run pretty well. There are exceptions and, being human, people are bound to make mistakes. I know that I have made mistakes and I have also learned here. However, I still feel that this forum is one of the better ones around. It is IMPOSSIBLE to please each and everyone posting here so it is foolish to try. Yet each person has the oppotunity of voicing their opinion and providing input into the forum. There is the ability to contact a Moderator or Administrator via e-mail or you can report a post by clicking on it. Anyone who wishes to is always welcome to e-mail myself or SandMan2 regarding anything on this board.
I think that is enough. Since some will not agree and others will, with the action taken it seems pointless to continue this discussion.

It was always strange to me that Whippinghand could be so rude and eager to contradict everything by everybody just for the sake of it,and having,at the same time, that piercing sense of humor I felt sometimes!..Was it something he putted in his soup?..

What’s the point in banning? Even though many people don’t like Whippinghand, I must say that banning seems a bit much. Oh well.
Besides, he’ll just come back as someone else we don’t like, so why bother?
