No and no, unfortunately. There are no writings on these systems in English?
If you are personally familiar with either, perhaps you can describe some of the significant differences in training methods, vs. the “big three”?
censored,
I have a very limited exposure to these systems but what I have seen I would say they are more significantly similiar in training and approach than different. As I have been told about Zimen (word gate boxing), there are 18 words which are martial concepts. Each word can take up to two years of practice. In a fight, 18 words desolve into one word. Much the way Lu can desolve into Ahn or Ji in tai chi or Fire into Water in bagua. I have about 2 hours of tape on these styles which I shot when a Master of these styles came to our class. They are mostly application with a very small amount of form at the end. He also gave us his Masters books but they are in Chinese. If anyone can help translate them, please e-mail me. ÿ
