DM II
Knockabout
Snake Fist Fighter
Anybody know any others?
And also, are there any with Southern Praying Mantis?

Yep. The main evil henchman with the bleached hair is Gary Shambrooke - a disciple of Sifu Dave Lacey and a pretty tough dude. That’s Buck Sing CLF in case you don’t know.
Taken from Sifu Dave Lacey’s web site: http://www.pantherfist.com/
When Jackie Chan and his movie production crew began looking for martial artists for his new movie, “Mr. Nice Guy” to be shot in Melbourne, Gary showed up for the audition along with some one hundred other martial artists from various kung fu, kickboxing, and karate schools. His superb and powerful demonstration of Choy Lay Fut’s fighting techniques immediately won him the role as one of the leading bad guys. After his demonstration, Jackie Chan approached Gary and asked- “Choy Lay Fut?” Gary replied, “Buck Sing Choy Lay Fut!” Jackie put up two thumbs and said, “Choy Lay Fut- very good!”.
Eddie,
DM II is where Jackie does all them crazy stunts, like rolling around in a hot coal/fire pit.
Jackie doesn’t do the CLF, it’s another guy, who I don’t know the name of, but he’s actually a good guy in the movie, who basically challenges Jackie early on in the movie, as a contest to see what is better: CLF of Drunken fist.
There was a movie with Lee koon Hung playing a cameo, but I have no idear what film this was, or how to get a hold of it. Anyone know?
Thanks!

Lee Koon Hung was actually in 2 movies with CLF. One was called Duel of the Seven Tigers and the other Hung Sing Choy Lay Fut.
Another CLF movies is Grandmaster of Death with Alexander Fu Sheng (Shaw Brothers). It has some Buk Sing CLF in it. The story isn’t to good but the CLF training sequences are ok for a movie.
Peace.
Lee Koon Hung movie,
The one still available is called “Duel of the 7 Tigers” it has another name also, but I forgot. Check our website in the 2 or so months, we will be selling this movie.
I remember him telling me he was in 3 movies, the one above, “Hung Sing Choy Lay Fut” in which Frank McCarthy mentioned he has (still have not received a copy Frank), and he said he couldn’t remember the name of the other one or much about it.
The other movie was supposed to be called “Return of the Scorpion”, however this was just another name for “Duel of the 7 Tigers”. He also was the martial arts director for a movie and was a CLF coordinator for the Hung Sing CLF movie.
Frank’s copy is supposed to be 75% of the movie and was filmed off of a movie theater screen. If you do some searching I’m sure the movie will turn up.
Peace.
found it!
Hey guys, I found that Choy Lay Fut movie, I think. Or at least I found another CLF movie. It is called “Choy Lay Fut”!
Check it out at:
http://www.hkflix.com/xq/asp/search.yes/person./title.Choy+Lay+Fut/qx/titles.htm
It’s only $7.95.
Anybody know anything about this movie? Is it the same one you guys were talking about?

Yes, that is the one. I have a copy of it and the movie is pretty good. A lot of CLF. Sifu Lee Koon Hung plays the dai sing hing of Chan Heung’s school and all of the students are all Sifu’s actual HK students. You can see his youngest brother Lee Leung Hung in one of the scenes doing 2-man drills. Sadly Sifu dies less than half way in, but it is cool seeing him lead the class through che kuen.
Peace.
Good work YutYeeSam!!!
Thanks Fu-Pow!!
I hope a lot of people read this thread and buys this movie, and shows and tells their students about it. Something like this can really help promote Choy Lay Fut.

Choy Lee Fut Kid
Shaw bros late 70s, Alexander Fu Sheng (deceased), plays righteous minded village lad that takes up CLF to do battle with local village baddies. Classic training scenes learning & training CLF.
3 out of 4 stars
I asked this question long ago. Thanks everyone.

There is also a series from Hong Kong back in the late 80s. Its called Nam Kuen Choy Lay Fut in Chinese. Its basically the story about Chan Heung.
CLF Practioners:
If you can obtain that series it is great to see. It is a chinese soap opera really good set drills are shown. also mentions CLF concepts and theories This is worth having. It was from the early 80’s It has like twenty chapters approximately 40 minutes long (it is a soap opera).

You can obtain this in Sun Coast videos under the venoms collection (the actors are mainly from the five deadly venoms Awsome SPM. Also other Shaw brothers movies with that actor (forgot the name) Also always does SPM ,because he is a practitioner of SPM.
