mma what forum?

There’s always cross-over

You’ll go nuts if you try to partition martial arts so tightly. And in the end, it’s not that important really. For now, let’s pump up this forum with anything that’s connected to MMA or JKD (remember this is still a JKD forum too) - anything that’s a modern hybrid. BJJ, while it is a “ORA” could also be considered a modern hybrid. This forum is really about hybrids, but that’s just not as catchy as MMA.

You know, I’m thinking Shaolin Do is a hybrid. Should I move that thread here? :stuck_out_tongue:

‘hybrid’ is cool

hybrid is a more appropriate term…

…but MMA is a more marketable term.

Shaolin Do is an ORA, it should go there.
talking about other people fighting, no posts or threads about mma technique or experiences from first person perspective!
I doubt more than about seven or eight people in total who post here train in MMA… and only a couple have ever fought in an MMA event.

Who cares who fought in an MMA event?

MMA has a great entertainment value. We can all comment on that. It’s a lot like a forum to discuss any other sport. Does our media forum require everyone who posts to have been in a movie? Of course not. There’s nothing wrong with talking about other people fighting, especially from an appreciative (or critical) audience perspective, just like you’d give your opinion about whether a movie is good or not. It’s an online discussion forum.
