Where can i find a good one.![]()
What kind of rack do you need?
You need to be a little more specific. Here’s what MAM offers:
Eight Sword Wall Rack [URL=“http://www.martialartsmart.com/30-01.html”]
Staff Rack
Sword Stand
Lacquer Wooden Sword Stand - Black/Natural
Imperial Dragon Weapon Stand
Single Sword Stand
We also carry a Kobudo Sai Stand, which I’ve seen used for butterfly knives.
Large one holds kwandaos spears etc.
The staff rack will likely suit your needs. ![]()
Lowes:

That lowes thing would look nasty ghetto in a MA school

If looks is how you judge the school, then your rack is the least of your concerns.
Come on now, MK. Everyone admires a nice rack.
The staff rack mentioned above will work for a kwan dao, but might require some slight modifications depending on the actual weapon. Obviously, you won’t be able to rack them as tightly together as with staffs in the example.

Really?.. cause if the floor is too dirty and I can smell pee anywhere, I turn around and walk out. dirty floor and effluence stench says a lot about a school.

OMG, they have sacred plastic swords and unbalanced fake lances in a plastic rack. This place cannot be legit. walks out with head held high
I made my own from 1x6". Used a 1 1/2" hole saw to place the weapons. Used a router to make the edges pretty, then stained it with a dark cherry. The rack is anchored to the wall. The bottom has a 1" spacer so this way the weapons can lean into the rack. The photo below is the best shot I have of it right now. It was taken a couple years ago. I’ve extended it to the side since and added a crap ton of weapons since. It was a fun weekend project.
The Lowes or Home Depot are a great substitute and I recommend them honestly over a weapons rack from M.A.M. They’re cheaper and better built.

Did you shave your pubes specifically for this pic?
if you go to my facebook page (Rik Kellerman) in pictures check out my school’s weapons rack-I have two types: one is similar to the one Shaolin described-2x6 cut out with a hole cutter and a jigsaw, 4x4 to hold up the center and ends, with the cool tops taken from the railing/deck dept-all Home Depot (or Lowes if you prefer)
The ones by the altar are simply those tool spring clips screwed into a board and spray painted, and screwed into the wall.

What is that called? I can’t find it on the website.
I bet it’s cheaper than a kung fu one.
