As those of you who follow my personal Facebook page know, my car got broken into during the Welcoming Banquet. The thieves stole some our medical jump bag (on loan for the weekend), my gear bag for the event and my personal bag for the weekend. It was daylight, on a relatively busy street near our office, with 50+ masters and grandmasters inside. If only one had bore witness, it could have been something like this. That fantasy of vengeance gives me some solace. It was a really rough start to a very long weekend, but I’ll tell you all more about it later, when I give my personal account after all the dust has settled.
