Today marks my 10th year of diligent practice of chinese martial arts.
what have I learned?
diligence=progress
and
all is not what it seems to be more often than not.

I’ve been in it for 10 years as well.
And after 8 years of http://www.templekungfu.com
And 2 years of modified TWC
And .5 years looking in my city for decent instruction
I’ve learned that you have to wade through the mud to get to the sea.
Congrats.

Congrats KL, after ten years you should have a good, solid foundation to stand on and some hands to back that up. Keep on training.![]()
Mike
wow, a decade…
You’re getting close
well, much closer than me.
Time to test how good your gung fu is in MMA!!!![]()
i do mma with a mixed group already.
the fu does me fine.
my groundwork admittedly needs more work and i can;t afford classes and I can’t really find a good bjj school near me at this time, but when I can afford it and I can find it I will go. ![]()
right now there are judo and jj schools around, but in my opinion, these are the kind of kids fun classes and stuff.
also, I am too old for competitive fighting on a career type scale.
I did my rounds 20 years ago. lol

Wow…10 years…good work!
I’m at 8 1/2 myself.
I just clicked over into having trained in the same art with the same teacher for half my life:D

That’s 8.5 years sucka. ![]()
Dude, I know you have a diaper fetish…but really…enough…some of us just don’t have the same preferences.

At 5 years of training, I was still a kid, I thought I was everything and a bag of chips ![]()
At 10 years, I considered I still had a lot of work to do
At 15 years, I was content with my progress, but had no illusions
at 20 years, I worried what I had lost along the way
Now, at 27 years, I’m starting again, learning new things and training even harder, never content to stay stagnant
I’ll get back to you in another 3 years again…
