What stands in the way of your training?

Four kids, when I get home…is pretty much a time hog. I have to train late or not at all. Cardio wise, I train when I get home by running or none at all. I play 4.5 level tennis every Sunday for 3.5 hours solid until I can barely walk straight. That pretty much kills my entire body and legs until the next day.

BTW…have a problem with standing meditations? Get four very loud kids, and you will really cherish doing this. It is literally my very favorite thing to do in training!

Also, congats on the violin. I played saxophone for 20+ years and taught too. You have reached an incredible level of accomplishment. I have trouble practicing, due to the effort involved in progressing skill wise any further. So it is either lots of practice a day, or no practice. The stuff takes over my mind

girlfriend, kid, work, sleep, weights, having to rely on my girlfriend for a ride to class as we have only one car right now (mine is in the process of being fixed).

What gets in the way?

Music. (like Huang  )

Trumpet

I play in a brass quintet, 2 big bands (jazz), and 1st trumpet in an Orchestra. I should be doing at least 2 hrs a day practice, but can’t. am performing the Shostakovich concerto for trumpet and piano in 6 weeks.

Piano

I love playing Liszt, Rachmaninoff and Albeniz. Unfortuneately this means I have much practice that I need to do, but dont have time to do.

Guitar (electric)

Play lead guitar in my rock group.

Choir

Sing tenor in the chapel choir. That’s another 8 hours per week.

ah well. I have lots. + KF training.

but then I couldn’t live my life any other way.

Seek naturalness. Act without forcing.

The same thing that affects us every now and then..womenand men (that one’s for you Jas and all the gals out there). Not all the time though.

One thing is for sure I would be far better than I am if I didn’t have a broken heart every now and then.Oh well it’s natural. Can’t live without them.

oh yeah and asthma…sometimes.
