Liddell and Silva are going to fight in UFC 79, any thoughts on wtf is going to happen?
I’m hopingthat Chuck is going to realize “Hey, I need to step up and stop losing” and make this a HELL of a fight. But then again it’s Wanderlei!
I’m excited nonetheless. Also excited for Serra Vs. Hughes

Hmmm, both will be “fresh” maybe too fresh…the factor will be the cage, but I think I will have to go with Wanderlei on this one, unless Chuck is “inspired” for the fight.

I love chuck but I don’t really think he is going to win this one, I would rather he fight someone else.
I don’t see why Rampage and Wanderlei don’t fight again.. I guess Wanderlei has to prove himself after the last few loses. This is really why I get upset with MMA. You have great athletes that loose to great athletes and suddenly they are considered garbage. The UFC goes through too many fighters too fast. Just becouse a fighter looses doesn’t mean that he is a bad fighter or that he should be canned. If that was the case… we would have no NFL, Hockey, baseball ect..
I feel sorry for the guys that try to make a living doing MMA, you have no real future.. and you make pennies while the guys at the top take all the money home.

I agree, if you watch Liddell’s last two fights, it’s just like he doesn’t seem to care. Many people are saying he’s letting the scene get to him and partying too much. I think his attitude in the last two fights was just… sluggish. i.e. “I’m getting pounded in the face and I don’t care.” He also wasn’t following through with anything! When he’d get his big opening, he’d stop. Kind of disappointing, but I suppose I have to have faith and hope he trains hard and comes out swingin’!

Good point! I just now remembered a discussion about Rich Franklin. Tons of guys were saying “Franklin should just retire!” When Franklin has only two losses… Both of them to Anderson Silva.

Ths is why I like the IFL and any other organization that looks to make MMA more “sports like”.
