well
it’s official wing chun will suffer it’s greatest humilation , gary has told me to start teaching ,
i feel sorry for the poor souls that get stuck with me , i should not be released on the general public , what is my sifu thinking:D
i just want to openly thank every one that has given me advice on this subject , and slapped me into line on others , i’m sure i’ll be picking your brains with a whole new set of questions now that i have to think of others
thank you
kathey, joy, old jong, victor, andrew, dhira, hendrik, paul, alan and all the rest of you misfits that have been making me think
happy new year and pray for wing chun ha ha ha
my pc is dead so i might be offline for a while:confused:
Congrats. I can’t think of a more qualified candidate. The WSL method is in good hands. Will you still be at Gary’s place or will you open up your own school? Or both?
thanks for the show of confidence every one ha ha ha
paul
you know i will always hook you up when i can ,
alan,
no school for me just private and semi private i want to do as much one on one as possible , i have sooooooo many idea’s and training concepts , my goal is customize things to fit people , like a good coach , for those who all ready have foundation . i have a knack for drawing out and refineing attributes , i just have a eye for what people need , so i want to further investigate that
beginers that will be different and anyone who wants the system from begining to end that is were a semi private situation would be better
it’s still just young ideas in my head since gary just pulled me aside last night. caught me a little off gaurd
i will still be at gary’s as my time permits , my goal is to reinvest any extra money i make back into privates with gary , just feel i owe it to him , and i still have stuff to tighten up , plus i want to help the rest of the guys at school as well
plus gary is planning seminars this year home and abroad and he wants me to come along , so i’ll still be around
Congratulations on your new role as instructor. I heard nothing but great things about you from my si-hings from the friendship get together. Great to see the tradition of quality instruction being passed on to the next generation.
Hopefully I can meet you one day and get some first hand insight into your theories and skills.
david,
hey it’s good to hear people had some positive things to say, i know i can be a bit colorful online with my views but i’m all heart in person , so beyond what ever skill i may or may not have . i just want people like they gained a new friend after meeting me , that’s more important then monster pak sau’s
kathy
i got mad respect for you ,so thanks and don’t be surprised i’f i need to call you and pick your brain sometime even if it’s about tradition
alex
nuff respect and thank you, if i get paid i can’t slap them as hard:D
Good luck. I hope you continue to learn and enjoy what you’re doing. Alan and the others from the Bay Area liked your hands so I’m sure you’ll have the right stuff to pass along to the next gen.
Don’t be a stranger on KFO. I hope you and your students can make it up here sometimes. Keep the the WSL legend alive.
Congrats man! That’s very cool. Although I haven’t met you yet, Andrew S. says great things about you, and perhaps I’ll get to meet you before too long at his place or somewhere along the line. From reading your posts here, I am certain you’re going to be a great instructor.
sifu ernie
now that is as scary as it is funny , thanks but no thanks , just plain old ernie for me , i’m no were near that level of respectable behavior,
john
alan and the guys are just being kind , there a great group i’ve been trying to get out there for a visit , trying to trick my girl and say it’s going to be a wine tasting trip:D as for the as for the wsl family , i plan on contacting a few of the senior guys and getting and idea of there approaches as well just so i can look at what there up to
even though gary has orginized the system in such a clean progressive fashion a monkey could teach it [ hey now nit makes sense why he is telling me to teach ]
david peterson has already sent me some stuff and is sending me a few more things , and there are few others i’m in contact with that should be help full, so the wsl system should be o.k.
but i got a ton of my own training concepts , so maybe i’ll be able to give something back .
oh as for kfo , i’ll still be around , i would’t miss this nutty soap opera for the world:D
phil
thanks chico , i plan on getting in front of the camera now so i’ll be sending you some stuff soon . p.s. try not to laugh to hard
anthony
thank you , andrew is a great guy with skills and a big heart , i’ll come by and train soon i promise
yylee
i did the hollywood thing already , i prefer hanging out with more mentally stable people
thanks again every one , and old jong it’s o.k. no need to cry i’m sure wing chun will survive this disgrace
Good luck on being a sifu. It can be really hard once you start teaching a lot of people might start looking at you different. That is what happened to my sifu. People started trash talking him once he started teaching, but then again it all depends on the people you know.
…oh yeah and don’t forget to teach your students WC traditions, I know how much you love them LOL.
