training with a tight schedule

I know that most people here do not have all day to train like we would love to do but how is anyone supposed to work in a good routine in today’s busy lifestyle? I work nights so I don’t usually get home until after 11pm. That gives me all day to workout and train but the problem is diet and when I am able to train. I know to truly reap the benefits of weight training you should “graze” on healthy food all day, like 7 small meals in a day and you shouldn’t eat late at night because your metabolism lowers and is not able to burn off those unused calories. The only problem is that I am usually starving and tired after work so I eat and then crash. I don’t feel I get enough rest but I also feel I don’t have enough time to train. I would like to make martial arts my life but I know I am going to need a lot of training time to do so and that is why I am trying for a good schedule. Also, any suggestions on a weight rouitne for martial artists?

Meal replacements or protein heavy meals would be fine before bed. I don’t agree with Muscle Media, that says to take carbs before bed. I’ve always heard that a bit of protein, like a can of tuna, is best.
Otherwise Meal replacements can help you maintain one of those 7 meal a day eating schedule.

I’m working hard to force myself into a normal routine with training right now too. What works for me right now is setting an hour. An hour before I go to bed, i’m gonna train, and I’m not gonna sleep 'til i do. It’s worked so far, but I’m in the same boat right now, except my schedule is real erratic and I don’t work.
Good luck.
