I saw WSL’s Science of In Fighting for the first time the other day and I was blown away by his demonstration of blind folded chi sau; as well as his footwork and the short clips of chum kui, knife, pole and dummy forms. This tape is a must have for any wing chun person.
I like that tape too!.. (Apart from that cheezy fight at the beginning!) It is well presented and informative, whatever the lineages differencies involved.
The prodigal son is a must also! There is the upmost “when the way is clear, charge in” example technique in it. It is worth the buy in itself.
The tape is indeed a great buy. A long while ago, David Peterson was commenting on an old WSL board on Wong’s reasons of dislikes and likes on the making of this video. Unfortunately, I forgot the full details. Needless to say they were quite insighful and revealing in themselves. If they are going to make an aniversary version of this classic video, I hope they have these “bonus” materials.
hi guy"S i have that tape as well, the chi sau, is great as well as sil lm tao, also look, out for pat strong"S the innner game tape on chi sau, and mister ed hart"s tape"S on ground fightng .and my sifu"S tapes as well peace russsellsherry
That WSL tape is a classic. The ‘good’ guy in the fight scene at the beginning was Benny Meng’s WC Sifu from what I’ve heard. William Cheung also has two tapes called The Wing Chun Way 1&2. The tapes were directed by Robert Clouse who directed “Enter the Dragon”. Each tape starts out with a fight scene with William Cheung and there are behind the scenes footage of the making of Enter The Dragon on each tape.
hi guy"s just to add to phil thread, the sifu i think"s name in the tape, is mister ho a early pupial of wong shun leurng, he was supposed to have taught my first , sifu as well rather than wong himself as he claims. oh and phil i have both william"S early tape"S one of the karate guys"S is chip wright a chuck norris student peace russellsherry
