Maha Vishnu did do like guitar work in You Know You Know. I don’t think it matches note for note but there is a definite influence that deserves recognition. The things that got me first was the guitar work. its kind of mind altering.
Mos Def totally sampled Maha Vishnu’s guitar work for Kalifornia.
If you have a chance check out Corey Glover’s “Do You First, Then Do Myself” While the guitar work is not the same as Maha Vishnu, the inspiration is definitely there. It happens to be one of my favorite Adult rated songs.
