pai lum is not that popular. and there are not that many people to defend it ,so it is easy to critize it and bring it down.(this is a piece of cake)
unlike trying to bring down Wing Chun where you have much more defenders.

I can’t comment on their tiger, iron palm, or whatever, 'cause I don’t do it. But, I did look at the “tai chi” video, and :eek:
I’m definitly no taiji expert, but that was no taiji. There were double-weighted, locking up their knees, and were usuing their arms, not turning their waist.

When I checked out pai lum and found it was a full contact art and focused on mostly combat,well thats what I was looking for.
It is hard training and Don the dragon has some good tips.

hey i liked the tiger/crane form! nice power.
as for the tai chi, there are plenty of styles of Tai Chi, Chen doesn’t “look” like yang, wu doesn’t “look” like chen or yang, then there’s sun style and modified taoist styles and so on.
There are also differences in guiding principles in Tai Chi depending on what school they come from and what influences different masters have had on the style.
the toe up in snake creeps down is found in some styles and not in others, but that was tai chi. Whether or not I’m familiar with the particular style doesn’t matter, what matters is whether or not the effectiveness of the style is there.
