New york - tai chi, chi kung teachers?

I may be moving to NYC so I’m llooking for some names of top dog tai chi, chi kung people in NYC.

A huge bonus woudl be a great chi kung healer…because I’m into healing. If not a good tai chi w /. internal skilsl would be fine.

Can anyone throw out some names?
I don’t care about credientials, how many schools they have etc. Actually..the more ghetto and the more underground…fits me better.

Master David Bond Chan.

I wouldn’t call him a healer, because he kind of looks down on that sort of thing — go see a doctor – but at the same time he has healed my knees which have been an infliction of mine since puberty then football and blowing it out surfing about 3.5 years ago. Now my knees are stronger than they’ve ever been thanks to some taiji exercise.

But, don’t go see him for this. Go see him because he will teach you how to beat the hell out of someone using taiji. Really. No BS. I LOVE to fight. I want to get as good as I can get at it because there’s nothing worse than losing a fight. Lots of places to train in NYC area … I go there and the NO. 2 choice isn’t even close. I’d train myself at this point if I couldn’t train with my master.

Try Clayton Shiu in Harlem. www.nshaolin.com

He does traditional Chinese medicine and is a dicsiple of Zhang Yun in Pittsburgh. I learn from Zhang Yun as well and I can assure you that, even though Clayton may not have high-level skill yet, his source of knowlege is probably the best in the US.

Very high level skillz at the H Won Institute of NYC.
