Purpose of this thread is to determine if there would be enough people from this forum who would like to have a ‘get together’. I would volunteer one of my schools in New York, which is convienently located to trains, buses etc.

We could do Dim Sum in the morning, spend the day getting to know everyone, do some training, sparring, working out, demo’s etc.

Not sure if people would be into this, but I thought I’d ask. Could probably do it in the late spring or early summer, OR during a holiday vacation/break like Easter. Feel free to chime in here, PM me or email me directly if you would like to participate.

This would be a gathering of teachers and students of TCMA. I would also seek to contact some high profile Sifu as well to invite them.

Though I’d be about 50/50 on if I could participate (starting physical therapy soon, not sure how that’ll work out :p) I think it sounds like a good idea.

Sounds like fun. I go to Hoboken every summer to visit friends, so I’d be interested.

I’m not sure about the Dim sum, though. Here in Akron, we wouldn’t want to try to learn a 650-step Lama form without a belly full of Bob Evans first.

Toss a date out and see what happens. I’m interested as I may be up in NY depending on my sister in-law’s on again off again wedding.

Depends upon school for me.

If you had it at Taiji Legacy next year though, I could/would definitely make it. :3

I suggested something like this before but nobody really seemed interested. If I’m in town I would come, just no video cameras.

Why no cameras? Are you wanted by the authorities for something?

I would almost definitely be there. my in laws live about 15 minutes outside of NYC so my wife and i could easily get there provided she isnt working. would it be cool to bring a friend or two even if they arent on the forums?

Sounds like fun but don’t you think it a bit unfair to the left coasters?

That’s the problem with these things, making it easily accessible for all.

Last gathering I went to was at his place. It was a good time. I’ve driven out to NY a couple of times now.

Although, I wish somebody would be willing to come up to Connecticut some time. Tisk tisk, I get treated like a hick I guess.

i’d be down. i can get to nyc in 2 hours.

ill be in texas this year too, that would be cool. there are a TON of places there to do stuff.
