How to prevent against Cancer

“Tense body, tense Psychology, tense Heart”
“Prolonged excesses lead to malignancy’
Medical Qigong Philosophy

The above cliques are probably the 2 most important comments to inspire an individual to make life style changes to avoid the onset of disease and sickness as we age.
Tense Body, Mind and Heart.
With today’s fast paced society, technology and quick fix solutions to today’s problems, our population is regressing further away from Nature than at any other time in our History.
The more we walk and relax, the more we get outside and interact with Nature, the more Killer Cells the body produces to fight off Cancer germs from proliferating.
As a consequence with Technology, people are becoming more aggressive, impatient, tense, unhappy and lazier.
Having a tense body includes stress in the muscles, tendons, joints and bones.
We must learn techniques to relax the muscles, tendons and bones. Remember, our blood and oxygen run through our muscles, tendons and bones. If those organs are tense, then circulation will be impeded, leading to under nourishment of the cells, tissues and organs.
Cancer Germs love a hot, sweaty, dark and angry environment to survive. A cancer cell cannot survive in a rich, happy, oxygenated environment.
To experience unimpeded circulation and to increase our circulation the body must be happy and relaxed. The happier our body is, the more abundant our blood will be and then the circulation will be unobstructed.
Practising medical qigong can assist in eliminating tension from the body, mind and heart.
The more we laugh, the happier the body, mind and heart will become.
Laughing produces lymphocytes from the thymus gland, which is a very powerful hormone. To activate this hormone all we have to do is laugh. The thymus gland’s hormones are very strong Cancer preventative hormones.
The happier our mind is, the clearer our mind becomes.
The negative emotion of the Heart is sadness and sorrow, so we must fill our Heart with love and happiness.
Children laugh over 400 times a day, while Adults only laugh up to 10 times a day.
We must practise to be happy. It does not come naturally. Learning to smile makes the difference between spreading endorphins or toxins around the body.
Our Internal Organs store negative emotions.
Liver – anger
Heart – sadness and sorrow
Spleen – Pensiveness
Lung – Grief
Kidney – Fear and anxiety.
As is evident, smiling and being happy can and will dispel and balance negative emotions and replace them with positive energy.
Practise smiling. How?
You must be aware of the state of your psychology all the time and adjust it accordingly. For example, I am driving on the freeway and due to concentrating too much, I notice I am frowning. I say to myself, “smile, smile” and “be happy” “you are going to have a good day today”. Use Positive affirmations.
Be happy; uplift your spirit by donating to a Charity.
Helping people will uplift the spirit of your heart and your psychology.
Through breathings exercises, Medical Qigong training teaches you how to dispel toxins, tension and negative energy from the body and mind, stimulate circulation around the body, and maintain and increase the flexibility of the joints and muscles.
A consistent routine of exercises will also keep toxins from proliferating by exercising the Lungs and dispelling “bad air” from the body, muscles, tendons and brain.
Excesses lead to Malignancy
Drink a bottle of Whiskey every day and you will probably die of Liver disease or Cancer.
Eat excessive fatty foods and become Obese generally leads to Diabetes, high blood pressure and Heart disease.
Overwork can also lead to excessive stress and then the family structure can break down, leading to arguments and disharmony.
The destruction of one internal organ leads to the demise of another.
Kidney promotes the Liver
Liver promotes the Heart
Heart promotes the Spleen
Spleen promotes the Lung
Lung promotes the Kidney
We must learn to keep the energy of our Internal Organs happy, abundant and balanced.
Colours of the Internal Organs
Heart – Red
Spleen – Yellow
Lung – White
Kidney – Black
Liver – Green
Incorporating the 5 colours of Nature into your cooking will help to nourish and strengthen the Organs and create a happy environment.
A breakdown of our DNA or Damaged DNA in a Cell will lead to Cancer.
We must eat a good balance of vegetables and protein and fibre.
We must exercise our Lungs to change the air in our bodies.
We must laugh a lot and not dwell.
We must learn to “take time out” and relax or meditate.
Stay happy, stay young at heart and do not get too serious about life.
Attitude is as important as genetics to maintain a long, happy life with good quality of living.

Stillness leads to stagnation.

Movement is essential to life.

according to your “logic”, simply reading the above post should be enough to eradicate cancer, given that it made me laugh the entire time I was reading it…

I realize that there is a colourful group of enthusiastic individuals thinking that cancer can be prevented from occurring but it is a nice fallacy, a good ROI for those who can deceive the vulnerable but it just an’t true. The core elements have truth but there are many variables that shows modern society increases the incidence of cancer due to sedentary lifestyle, the chemicalization of food and nutrition and just behaviours and attitudional habits that we engage in.

Exercise is good, qigong is good, taijiquan is good but there are other variables far more important that are causative in all regards and obviously through mitigation we can lessen the impact of dreadful diseases.

There’s…a lot…I could say about this post. In fact I started to do so. And then I realized how much time it would take to go line by line on all the flaws. That, and the fact that the more I try to read this, the more I feel I need to write. Its best I just let it go…

Really though, there’s so many proper sources of information on the web these days on cancer, how in the world can people still know so little? And not just this disease. The body in general.

I mean really. This is a serious question. Do you not learn human anatomy and physiology in TCM?

I mean between this and dude in the other thread not knowing even the basics of the coagulation cascade and the subsequent removal of clots (which is something really we all have had experience with since the first time we skinned our knee…)

I just find it hard to believe people are actually practicing, giving medical advice, with so little understanding of how the body works.

I’m just going to go grab a Two Hearted from the fridge and pretend I didn’t read this.

Edit: And you know, there actually is a possible link between stress and cancer (italicized because while I think its probably the case, its not yet completely confirmed scientifically). But its not some mystical voodoo nonsense, its not magic energy, its not “bad” air…its called cortisol. This is what I mean. This is really basic (REALLY) physiology. This is what happens when people are trained in an archaic model of the human body. I’m not trying to be an ass here, not this time. But ****, its 2013!!!

I think it has more to do with fringe personalities finding outlets in the world that enable them to feel justified in their iconoclasticism; if they go the accepted route, they r no one special; as soon as they go contrarian, they become authorities; and what’s more, their perspective is irrefutable: anyone who doubts their take on things (based on a logical assessment of their lack of evidence, etc.), they can be dismissed as being close-minded, not fully-aware, deluded by the mainstream, etc., etc.; so they set up this unassailable construct in their own minds which ultimately preserves them from a break-down of ego, which they would be more likely to have upon realizing that they are nothing special and never wil be…

If this is the case, then this is worse than just being ignorant or poorly trained. Because if this is true, then they’re putting their own ego before the well being of their patients. Which is exactly what the alt med community is always criticizing mainstream medicine over. I shouldn’t be surprised. The alt med industry is every bit as vile as they claim big pharm is. They prey on the vulnerable in society. They market themselves as the answer when mainstream medicine has failed. And mostly, they’re clueless on how to actually fix things.

The sad part is. There are only a handful of people comparatively in the population as a whole that truly understand the biochemistry of physiology. Cell signalling is a freaking mess and getting into things like apoptosis, that’s opening pandora’s box. I know a bit, but truly the high level stuff goes so far over my head I get a neck strain trying to look up at it. If these people really wanted to be exceptional, they’d be trying to tackle stuff like that.

Come on guys!!!

Open your eyes, and minds!

I have been practicing a version of this for some 38 years now and I have NEVER had cancer!

You CAN’T tell me it doesn’t work!

I will ask a pivotal question here and devise a scenario:
Johnny X knows about exercise, taijiquan and qigong and he is familliar with the concept of jingqishen. Both his parents have a history of cancer. Father died at 55 and mother at 57.

Johnny X sees the initial post and it sounds great. Can Johnny X imply that by taking up Master Xs qigong, he will not get cancer? Why or why not?

if I were Johnny X, I’d certainly do my darndest to keep myself fit, healthy and as relatively stress-free as possible, but Johnny X shouldn’t infer anything from what Master X is advertising; frankly, if I were Johnny X I’d find a taiji / qigong teacher who just teaches the material as such, without any outrageous claims

in my experience, it is the case; bearing in mind that over my 18 yr career as a PT I’ve gotten both the mainstream and the alternative take on things in my studies of manual and movement therapies; also my wife as OB/GYN but also yoga teacher and French-trained osteopath has had a similar range of experience across the spectrum from standard med to alternative stuff; we are in that less common group of people who have studied both in relative depth, and are therefore able to see the strengths and weaknesses of both, and to have no particular attachment to one or the other as our self-identity is not tied into any particular sphere of operation;

the problem I encounter often is people who are well-versed in one are but not in the other who make claims about the area in which they have little to no training; frankly, I find the alternative people more guilty of this than the mainstream types: they tend to make sweeping statements about the failure and tyrannical nature of 'western medicine", talk about how clueless doctors are, talk about how western medicine can’t address illness holistically, etc.; they will go on about how superior traditional medicine is, how TCM figured out stuff 1,000’s of yrs ago that western medicine is still clueless about or is just now realizing; my all time favorite is how they claim that things like qigong can’t ever be understood from a “scientific” or “western” perspective;

this is all just a big heaping, steaming plate of excrement; with contemporary understanding of anatomy / physiology / biomechanics, when considered in context of things like complexity theory and tensegrity framework, it’s perfectly possible to utilize so-called “western” thinking to fully encompass the scope of taiji / qigong; it’s not really that hard, but you just need to have studied both fields in some depth;

There are some reasons he may want to do qigong. But to answer your specific question. No, JohnnyX cannot imply that by taking up this practice, he will not get cancer. That would be an unfounded assumption. There is no evidence for this claim.

Only a handful you say?

I’d say the same applies to religious leaders selling you salvation and easement of malady through prayer.
There is WAY more than a handful.

It’s the reason why there is a phrase that goes like this: “The road to hell is paved with good intentions”

Not too mention all the self help gurus and so on and so forth. So much of it is horse hockey and poppycock. The world is getting filled with this stuff and people are buying it! Commerce for the spirit you say? YES! They say! We can throw money at anything and solve it!

Pure idiocy and recognizable at first glance to anyone with an ounce of common sense.
lol.

Anecdotal evidence is not enough in this subject area quite frankly.
Only a handful you say?
Yes. There are few people, relative, to the population that understand physiology. Fewer have what it takes to cut it in heavy research. And far few still actually have both the understanding of the processes and the imagination to not only know what a compound will do in the body, how it will do it, but also in many cases how we will even create it. Because when you did into chemical journals, you quickly realize that a lot of the stuff that’s getting made, people are having to also create the process to do it along the way. So yeah, only a handful of people really have that ability.

I’d say the same applies to religious leaders selling you salvation and easement of malady through prayer.

Not sure what this has to do with what I posted.

No, not only this subject. Anecdotal evidence is NEVER enough.

At first I decided not not to read the entire original post because I assumed it was bunk. Then I decided to read to have a laugh. I stopped at “Cancer Germs”.

Sifu Garry, I’m gonna kick you in the balls.

No, that was actually one of the only points that was at least somewhat in the park of correct. There are some cancer promoting bacteria and viruses, Helobactor pylori and HPV for example.

Now the stuff that follows…unfortunately for us, we are hot, sweaty and dark environments on account of being endothermic organisms made of roughly 70% water and covered in integument. We are walking bacteria cultures. You have 500 species of microbe on your face alone. And some of those microbes host microbes.
