Iron ,
I don’t wanna hear that thing falls down, but , everybody seems to make the same observations.
Back at my gym we installed steel wall mounts into concrete and usually thats good enough. but the ceiling in your home it’s drywall that’s really unstable .
IT’S BOLTED TO A STUD IN THE CEILING.
It’s not being supported by drywall. Do you guys have me on ignore or something?
Yo Iron,
You really need to have a spring at the top of the bag to minimize the pull on the ceiling attachment.

I nearly always have drama finding somewhere to hang my own, where do I buy one of those??? I’ve looked nearly everywhere. Oh, and I move around alot, how portable is it plays, ceiling damage???
It’s supported by drywall?! You should really take it out of there and attach it to a stud in the ceiling, Iron.

A spring won’t make the bag weigh any less. Can you please explain how a spring would lessen the pull?
Iron, you don’t want to attach it to drywall, it will rip it out in no time.

You can get them online at everlast.com. Title Boxing also sells their own version. You should be able to find them in commercial sports stores. Well, at least you can get them here in the states. It’s portable enough that if you unscrew two screws you can remove it. As for ceiling damage, you’ll have two holes in your ceiling. I would recommend a stud finder to go along with it so you can be sure where to hang it.

i think he’s saying the spring would absorb some of the shock making it less of a burden on the actual stud.
im not sure, but i also think some of the others meant that all the action on the stud could make the dry wall fall around it. whether or not that would happen im not sure, but either they meant that or they might have you on ignore or something. ill ask them for ya.
do you guys have iron fist on ignore?
no,
just that the pictures he posted look very dubious
just offering help,
but oh well
best of luck with that.
Ironfist, please tell GDA I can’t respond to his question because I have him on ignore.
Ironfist
cheers, I’ll check it out ( everlast.com) when I arrive in Beijing.
Careful. I wanted a swivel from Everlast (Title). Cost was US$20 or so. Postage was US$55 to Oz. They didn’t tell me that until after I’d given my credit card details and placed an order. Needless to say I cancelled my order.
first benificent thing I’ve heard you say in months.
You’re welcome. I always try to be benificent.
