Bag hanging problems and questions

Hey Guys,

Here’s my problem: I want to buy a Thai bag from Ringside and fill it myself. I already have a 100lbs. everlast bag that I want to sell to a friend. The everlast bag I have is on a stand in my garage, but unfortunately of course it doesn’t provide much moving around.(as in me moving around the bag) So I thought about putting it outside by installing a angle iron onto one of my trees. The 1st branches are like 60ft up the tree so hanging it that way is out of the question.

Now the questions:

  1. Is the angle iron idea even feasible?
  2. What effect will the sun(or rain, providing I cover it when not in use) have on it?
  3. Am I completely nuts?
  4. Any other ideas? I’m open to anything.
