i want to know if anyone knows a form from hop gar system called in english " the animals " . i 'd learn this form from a lama pai master but i don’t get the chinese name or the history of the form .
the form begin whit a kiu sao in bow stance and have a sequence of four ground rolling strikes and a lot of long range fists .
what is a kiu sao? mind you I’m in Hop Gar and know all the basic forms. If ya can describe, I can tell which form it is.
kiu sao is a technique very used in hung gar . is like a tigerclaw with the first finger extended .
maybe i’d was wrong and the form belong to another system .
i 'd think was hop gar .
but the certain thing that is style that combine lama pai whit hung gar .
Rain,
It depends on the lineage in question, there is great diversity. Some say Wong-Fei-Hung exchanged his 5-animal techniques with Wong-Yin-Lum for WYL’s long-arm techniques.
Maybe…
My own lineage in Lion’s Roar ha svery fast and fluid long arm techniuques, only superficially similar to the Hung-Gar that I have studied as a disciple of a Hung-Gar Master.
It seems that the Tibetan Tradition is so diverse that you find what you find and not necessarily what you look for.
