Eagle Claw?

Is this a style or technique? Is it Nothern or Southern? Internal or External? Is it grappling, or striking? Can someone give me a little idea about it and maybe a good website to read up on?

Its a Northern External style of Kung Fu. It mainly consists of jointlocks, (but has kick and punches like all kung fu styles) it has all 108 chinna techniques. A style called Fanziquan (I think) was added to it. It has about 40-60 forms depending on who you ask. Thats all i got, sorry

Heres a couple of sites, take your pick:

Sounds like an interseting style, but I doubt they teach it here.

"Its a Northern External style of Kung Fu. "

Actually, it is external for beggining levels, but it becomes very much more internal as one gets higher up in the system.

Lily Lau’s page: www.lilylaueagleclaw.com has a lotta info on it, and some great pictures and what not, and i think Leung Shum’s page: www.yingjowpai.com , has some info on it as well.

Eagle claw has a lot of chinna, the claw focuses on grabbing the pressurepoints and stopping the flow of chi, as well as splitting muscle and tendon. it’s quite a lethal and nasty style in my opinion. it was made for the battlefield by General Yue Fei in the Song Dynasty. ANYWays, go to the two webpages i have up there and you’ll find a lot more information about it! byebye have a nice day.

I know of a good eagle claw place in sacremento, not sure how far that is from las vegas though.

I think it’s like a six hour drive.

Hey Im moving to Sacramento in a couple f montrhs. What is the name of that school you’re talking about Kung Fu guy?

I forget
look it up on www.yellowpages.com

Just to break in about Sacto

Sorry to be off topic, but I would recommend looking up Sifu Lai Hung or his son David if you are in the Sacramento area. It’s not Eagle Claw, he teaches Northern Shaolin and Choy Li Fut. I learned N. Shaolin from him and have been completely hooked on CMA ever since.

Sorry I have nothing to add about Eagle Claw, I would start with Lily Lau in a search of it.
