Reflecting on the passing of Bruce Leung Siu-lung, I felt the need to post a review of this classic, which is the most outrageous Brucesploitation film of all.
Leung plays Bruce, who awakens in hell, where his nunchuks get mistaken for a boner. srsly. There he encounters the some classic figures from Chinese myth, King of Hell, Zhong Kui, Hua Tuo, some martial arts characters like Zatoichi, the One-armed Swordsman, Kwai Chang Caine, and the oddest collection of others, Dracula, the Exorcist, James Bond, Emmanuel, Clint Eastwood, Popeye (played by the mighty Eric Tseng no less).
It’s a horribly bad film as you might imagine, so bad it’s good.
