What about america’s fixation with guys in brightly colored spandex tights flying through the air. Spiderman is coming out… come on a guy that shoots inexhaustible webs out of his wrists! Fantistic Four is going to be made into a movie… please. Then there’s that horrible ‘Muntant X’ series based on the almost as bad X Men movie. A generation of humans that via genetic mutation are jumping up the evolutionary scale except each one is completely different from the other yet almost equally super fantastic . At least in ‘CTHD’ they just did really cool Kung Fu moves and the higher level ones were able to fly as is the case with the ‘folk lore’ genre (‘wu xia’ martial heros) that it is based upon…
