How are they supposed to work? Do they actually help repair or just get rid of the painful symptoms? When should they be used? Whats are they made from and are they worth making yourself? (if so, how?)
I’ve got some tiger balm and golden cup balm left over from when I was in Thailand. I never really used it that much because it says ‘symptomatic releif from…’ To me that just means it gets rid of the pain but leaves the cause. Wouldn’t that be bad in the long run? If something hurts, it’s hurting for a reason and I think the pain should be left there so you can monitor the healing process. That said, the heat from the balms do feel pretty nice!
Tiger balm isn’t Dit Da Jow. Dit Da Jow is supposed to accelerate the healing process. I saw a really good article on it’s constituents and main purposes. I make my own using an old perscription from my teacher. Let me find that article…
