In the martial arts area, this is another exciting area. Just a swish of a hand, not even touching the opponent will cause him to become weak or even have to sit down!"
So my questions to Gary, who doesn’t seem to want to answer it on the thread he started disparaging no -touch KO’s, so I thought I 'd ask it here.
So Gary - can you disrupt someone’s chi with just a swish of your hand?
Good solution BOB, if you cant stay on topic on my no-touch KO thread start another one!

Read on and you will find that each method is followed up immediately by a strike, and within the same second you will find if you learn the forms.
From Erles site:
“Each of the nine Qi disruptive methods also has a follow-up strike that will take advantage of the Qi disruptive method in the best possible way. Usually this strike is an extremely deadly strike all by itself,”
“So Gary - can you disrupt someone’s chi with just a swish of your hand?”"
The answer is -It doesnt matter, and I wouldnt try it as a combat viable method, nor sell it as a method of Knocking out a person. Erles “swish of the hand” in the form is only one move out of many other techniques with no such thing involved, and the movement also serves to block a strike and counter to a devastating point in the same motion. So the answer to if the “disruption” works or not is a moot point. In the case of the No-touch KO’s , it is not a moot point, as if the no touch Qi thing does not work, nothing happens to the attacker, and people get hurt trying such things.
Also could you answer the questions posted to you on my thread?
Sorry, as you said on another post, I thought this was a free discussion forum!
The method may be followed up by a strike, a dance, a song, or whatever, but we still have that little “swish of the hand with no contact” claim.
It doesn’t matter? Sounds like it would to me - what a great skill to have, make someone feel weak with just a swish of the hand?
If it doens’t work, why is it in the “wudang kata”?
Ok, for the love of God, stop arguing and just answer the questions. I think Gary has answered your questions Bob. Just answer his…and STOP BASHING each other…jeez…

I dont make up the forms, nor have I attested either way! If the swish of the hand is true, wouldnt anyone at that level in training not need such a thing? And no, to me it doesnt matter. I prefer to teach and use things that will work with or without the use and or belief in Qi.
Personally, I don’t think you have to agree with Erle-the-philosopher to absorb some excellent material from Erle-the-fighter. Skills can exist independently of what one has to say about them.
