I would love to learn from that kid when he turns 40:)

I liked this thread better back in April.

Cung Le would love to face Anderson Silva

No, Le isn’t calling Silva out. He does give a very humble answer to a tantalizing question.

Would you like to face Anderson Silva and if so how do you feel the fight would go.

Le: You know what, I would love to face Anderson Silva. A lot of people say “you should fight Anderson” but you know Anderson is UFC and I still have a four fight deal with Strikeforce. If it happens, great. If not, I’m not holding my breath. I definitely would be honored to fight someone like Anderson Silva.

What say you all? How would Le fare against Silva? It’ll be southpaw vs southpaw, good wrestler vs good bjj, amazing striking vs amazing striking.

PS: even more exciting, Cung Le is playing Marshall Law in the new Tekken movie!

Anderson Silva is the winner hands down but the encounter would be interesting!

i would love to see that fight bc i think the way they both go at it would make a very exciting bout. i am a big fan of both fighters but i have to say i think le would lose. it would be one of those weird fights where i would be happy for whoever won and sad for whoever lost. i hope it eventually happens.

I don’t think Le can come close to beating Silva.

It would not even be close. Apples to Oranges!

how about Le vrs Kimbo ?

Le vrs Bas?

i think a fight with le versus wanderlei instead of anderson would be much more entertaining.

Le is not a light heavyweight guys:rolleyes: Wanderlei would slaughter him!
I think the enthusiasm is great that you all have for Le, but he is still working on his game and not quite ready for the big boys yet.
Cheers,
Jake

Agreed. He’s not in anyone’s top 10 list for his weight class yet.

ok good point. What about a le iceman fight? or a Le vrs Serra fight?

maybe le vrs lee?

Dude, Cung Le is not ready to face anyone close to Serra or any other fighter in the UFC! His ground game needs work, and though his win over Shamrock was nice, I did not feel as if he was truly tested! Time will tell. There is no hurry for him to jump into the big leagues!
Jake

Anderson Silva is my favorite fighter but I think Le would do better than some think simply because Silva has not fought anyone with a kicking game even close to Cung Le. Silva rarely goes for the takedown so it would be the clinch that Le would have to worry about. But his kicking would be his best chance.

I don’t know how Le will do with elbows to be honest.
Silva has them to a level that Le hasn’t seen before.
He took Fryklund out with one.
Otherwise, it should be a very entertaining fight to say the least.

I would love to see Cung fight butterbean

I think Silva would win but Le would give him a MUCH tougher fight then people think. Le does have a kickboxing and San Shou background.
