choy lee fut is not choy lee fut.....

firstly, no accusations were made in that statement, i merely disproved the assertion that 2 ip’s meant 2 persons.
please read what i write before you decide i’m making accusations.
secondly, while i am aware of the IP addressing ranges assigned, you should also be aware that IP addresses are in no way an indicator of where a person is posting from, as the enlightened user can work around the simple limitations you have mentioned. hax0rs have known and used this for quite some time now.
at any rate, my point is that 2 different IP addresses do not prove two seperate identities, and it stands.

Regulator:
Your right. I didn’t mean to jump out at you. I responded mostly in anger from this whole post!! This whole topic and the past topics have gotten out of hand and it is so upsetting and I took it out on the wrong person! Sorry! I wish we could all appreciate everyones differences and worry about being united and progressing CLF, oh well, have fun debating everone else. Good luck

And for all my other CLF brothers, Merry Christmas and I hope the new year brings you lots of success.

Setansi, believe whatever you like. Me and Joseph are not the same person. If you refuse to accept that, why should I care?

And as for being a sidekick, perceive me how you like. I’m doing more than simply backing them up. I’m also trying to ask pertinent questions and (most of the time) trying to keep the debate at least vaguely friendly. Although that is hard.

And I will back up what I believe in. Sorry if you can’t handle that.

They couldn’t be the same person…Joseph has better grammar…he would never write “Me and Joseph are not the same person…”

Excuse me! Joseph and I!

Haha:D

Yep. And Serpent is actually the one and only, Powdered! Toast! Maaan!! He has far better buttocks than joseph ever!

Man. Ren & Stimpy rocks!

And so it begins again…

Ok…for those of you that don’t get it yet…

Chan Heung is the founder of CLF. Jeong Yim was Chan Heung’s student and is the founder of the Hung Sing branch. Taam Sarn was a student of Jeong Yim and is the founder of the Buksing branch.

If it looks like CLF, moves like CLF and smells like CLF then it’s probably CLF.

What happened in the development of CLF before Chan Heung is speculative at best. Everyone’s got a different idea about it.

All we really know is that there were some revolutionary dudes in Southern China who wanted to overthrow the ruling government. They trained kung fu in secret and passed it on to people they thought would help them in their quest…aka Chan Heung or Jeong Yim or whatever.

Whether Chan Heung’s teacher was the Green Grass Monk or the Charred Head Monk or Choy Fook or Too Wong Fu (thank you Julie Newmar) seems to me at this stage in the game kind of irrelevant.

The only people that I know that contest the version of the history that I laid out above are on the fringe of CLF…aka Dave Lacey and Frank McCarthy.

Wake up guys. It’s the 21st century. We have more important things to worry about like drug abuse, obesity, school shootings, poverty, AIDS, decline of human rights, the destruction of the enviroment, decline of character and morals in our children, etc, etc, etc…’

Kung fu can do a lot of good for a lot of people and help combat some of the issues that I mentioned . But not if we are only mired in the past. We need to bring our awesome art into the 21st century by letting go of the past. Not disrespecting or ignoring it , but at least settle these petty issues and move on. In the spirit of our shaolin predecessors…

So everybody just relax…there isn’t that much better…ahhhhhh.

“Taam Sarn was a student of Jeong Yim and is the founder of the Buksing branch.”

Tam Sam was not a ‘student’ of Jeong Yim. He was a brief student (in the grand scheme) of Lui Chan who was the student of Jeong Yim.

Please, correct me if I’m wrong! hahahaha

nospam.

fu pow says " The only people that I know that contest the version of the history that I laid out above are on the fringe of CLF…aka Dave Lacey and Frank McCarthy. "

i direct this question only for verification - what do you mean fu pow by david is on the fringe of CLF ???

nospam you are 100 % correct with tam sam and lau chan

What I intended to say was that their ideas on the history are on the fringe. But also, “fringe” in that they are not heads or designated representatives of a particular branch. Not really meant to be a personal attack but rather to point out that the views of 2-3 Sifu’s do not represent the views of an entire branch.

My feeling is that a majority of CLF sifus support the idea that Chan Heung is the founder of CLF and Jeong Yim was one of his disciples. It is a few rebel rousers that want to say otherwise.

Sorry for the incorrect Taam Sarm lineage. I knew he did study with Jeong Yim.
