Hi,
I am looking for a northern style that is not eagle claw and praying mantis. Just curious what kinds exist. I don’t have much free time to travel and investigate so any help you can give me would be greatly apprechiatted.
Thank you for your time and any help,

There is a student of Sifu So of Bak Siu Lam who teaches in the Chinatown. I think its at the community center which used to be a public school. Stop in Bok Lei Tat’s store they should have his info.
There is also Sifu Gao who teaches in Queens, Long Island and NYC. He teaches mainly shaolin, Fan Tzi Chuan and Tong Bei along with alot of other things. He’s the body guard in the movie “Crouching Tiger…”. Check the Village Voice for his phone number.
Also in NJ you have Peter Kwoks old school I think run by sifu Elia.
thats all I have for now.
PS am a student of Leung Shum and he has alot of other Shaolin sets besides Eagle Claw.
ex: Chin Wu’s (Tam Tui, Gung Lek, Jeet Kuen, Yee Long Kuen, Saa Lok Kuen, Toa Kuen, Hop Gin Kuen, Sup Lok Da, etc.)
There’s also Shifu Henry Gong…his Northern Longfist is excellent…he teaches on Wed. 6-8p, Fri. 6-8p, and Sun. at 42 White Street (South of canal, off of Broadway)- The days are right the times maybe off a half-hour or so.
