kinda self explanatory. I study Shooting Fist Tiger. It was recently a closed door system until about 10 years ago and only has two teachers (that we know of) in the us. Sijo Leung Ping in Minneapolis and Sifu Ron Begeman in Caro. The Current Grandmaster is Lu Fa Ping in China. Now that that’s out of the way… what’s your style?

Killingthe tiger: Where in Minneapolis is Leung Ping? Can you tell me more about your style? I am here in Minnesota (about 25 miles from Minneapolis) and I’ve been looking for a good Kung Fu school with a good instructor.

Never heard of a northern white crane style… can you supply some history? Just curious.

I’m not sure, but I think northern white crane might be the style developed is Szechuan Province. I really don’t know, I’m just taking a shot in the dark.

Everyone know the whole Ape/Crane legend right?
Well lions roar split in to two destinctive style one being White crane.
Brought by tibetian monks into China sometime in the 1400.Adapted by Shaolin Monks (But then,isn’t every style apparently?)
Taught to the imperial guard.
Employs more high kicks and sweeps than the southern /fukien style.
What my Sifu refers to as a hard/soft system
