is there any WC schools in NY or NJ? i think that reading WC books and watching videos isn’t gonna help me at all…aight…later

You are correct! Looking for a good school with quality instruction is stepping in the right direction. Relying on books and videos is virtually guaranteed to misguide you.

There are a lot of schools and groups in NJ and NY especially, but that covers a lot of territory. I am in Western, NY for example, almost as far from NYC as you can get and still be in the same state.

Are you looking more specifically for something in the NYC vicinity? Or are you perhaps more interested in a particular family or flavor of Wing Chun and willing to consider a periodic commute for it? The options depend mainly on your constraints.

Meantime, you may want to research at http://www.wingchun.com and http://www.wingchun.org for the broadest school listings.

I remember seeeing an ad for a school in Belleville, New Jersey. I believe it was called ninja university, but they also teach wing chun there. I have no clue about the quality of instruction there, though. I hope this helps. Peace.:smiley:
