8 kicks?

Hi!

I read, that in WC/VT/whatever, there are only 8 different kicks. Could someone please tell me, what kind of kicks there are?

I’ll start the counting:

Chum Kiu:
1 Front-kick (name?)to the hip
2 Side-kick (name, too?)to the hip
3 this strange little front-kick to the side (is it a snapping kick or a “normal” front kick?)

Biu Dji:
4 Kao Gerk
5 Huen Gerk (is it really a kick - or more a kind of “sweeping kick”?)

Wooden dummy:
6 this “scratching” kick, target: the shin
7 Gan Gerk
8 hey wait, something’s missing???

Oh, and btw: we did a lot of talking about extending the arm when punching. How about the knee when kicking, hm?

Thanks a lot,

Armin.

What’s ‘extending the arm’?

Hm?

Hi,

after checking my vocabulary-book  : It should have been: fully extending the arm, respectively the knee (meaning the the problem of Hyperextension).

But: doesn’t someone know the 8 kicks? Or won’t somebody telle me???

Armin.

PS: Sorry, that it took me so lng to make myself clear.
