I don’t know about the rest of the world, but America is obese. You have to rethink yin and yang foods. There are no nutral foods. Potatoes, corn, grains of most any kind and products made from them, Processed sugars, and alcohol are adverse to the flow of chi. It can cause fluctuations of the flow of chi by causing fluctuations in the blood flow.
When you look at the human body you will see nothing more than an animal. We eat, deficate, and we must drink. What we eat today is what has made us obese over all. At one time, when man was evolving toward today, we were hunter/gatherers. We ate differently than now. The amount of sugar cane that you would have to extract from to get a table spoon of white sugar would be more than you could eat in a week. You consume about 14 teaspoons of processed sugars when you consume a soda. I know people that can drink a case of soda in a day. If you eat meats of any kind, fish, and fowl, lots of water, and green leafed vegetables, you will correct your flow as well as reverse obesety and heart disease. Remember, animal fats can not be metabolized into fat that can store on your body. That fat is triglyceride and it is metabolized from carbohydrates. Easy access to carbs can be had with sugars, breads, potatoes, and then there are the proteins derived from certain seeds and grains. Corn and beans for one. Peanuts are another one. These foreign proteins can trigger your immune system to respond to them, causing auto immune system diseases such as diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, and a long list of others.

I wondered if there was such a thing as yin/yang way of eating and wanted to ask this question my self but thought every one would laugh at it. Interesting question and thank you.

The concept of yin/yang foods is applicable but it must be individually ascertained!

So much hybridization of foods is taking place that it is imposible to know specific foods but keeping the principles of yin/yang is still apropos.
a. Ice cream may be yin but it may be better to limit or eliminate from one diet
b. Strawberries are so contaminated that one will have to wash them. Additionally for women who are prone to candida (yeast infection), it is best to eliminate or choose another fruit.
c. Soy may not be appropriate for some so even boiled milk, periodically, can provide benefit. I am only saying that there are many considerations in food choices. The best is always balance so seeing a nutritionist (American Dietetic Association) or other professional is a good start.
NOTE: For boiled milk, the purpose is to break down any undigestible fats! Of course, let cool before drinking.

I would not say that this will help qi but it would help the heart work better (less load) and hopefully more people would get up and exercise more!
