Indicative of how Bruce Lee has made quite an impression in China.

Seen that about 6 times now on multiple forums… Quite old. But yes, thats nuts. I don’t think it has much to do with bruce lee however. Its just crazy. Still, I wouldn’t want to fight any of them.

If you think these guys are crazy, wait until you visit one of the Silat schools here in Sarawak.

I sat through one of their training sessions and got to tell you, in all my MA experience, I have yet to witness anything “crazier”.

At one point, one student was “attacked” by 8 others and they were really whacking him with sticks, chairs and empty bottles. The “victim” is not wearing any sort of protection and fighting with his bare hands only.

The test is to fight back and not be floored.

Anyway, he passed with nose bleeding and a very nasty cut on his forearm.

I wanted to take footage but was told,in no uncertain terms, that it’s strictly forbidden.

Letting me watch, to them, is already creating precedence.

Regards.

it certainly instills intention.

They were doing his signiture catcalls.
The influence of Bruce Lee is gigantic in China. Hordes of Chinese males want to be like him. Look at all the actors that imitated him.
This is a funny site.

Hahaha,

You’re so right.

In fact Wing Chun is the most happening art on the mainland now.

Every MA magazine from there would highlight Wing Chun.

I suspect they are trying to re-invent Jeet Kune Do.

And guess what is the most vogue weapon?

Nanchuks … no prize.

Hey even Jay Chou did a rap song called “Nanchuku”…wait Jay is Taiwanese?? but then he has got a humongous mainland fan base.

and his song “ninja”
