Does anyone know of any martial arts tournaments in the New York City area? Also, does anyone know of any tournaments that are exclusively Wing Chun?

heh, good question. I’d like to know of ANY wingchun tourneys ANYWHERE, and if they are in video format on teh net, or are available on video!

Super-Fist - tournament
The Wong Fei Hung All Kung Fu Championships is scheduled for Sat, Sept. 29th in Teaneck N.J. Pretty sizable tournament. When I went last year, there was a chi sau competition just for the Wing Chun community. There were about five different WC schools competing last year. There should be more this year. There was also alot of fighting going on between all different styles of Kung Fu. There were some pretty good matches.
Some of us from this forum are meeting up over there as a friendly get-together. Should be pretty cool. If you’re interested in meeting up with us - just e-mail me.

I came across this post and thought I would attempt to revive it for a moment.
I was wondering if anyone was planning on attending the Tourney in Teaneck, NJ on Sept 29th? I would like to thank Mun Hung for bringing this event to our attention. The link for the event is below:

BTW: I may not be able to make the Sept 8th event in NYC as I am teaching a class that day from 11-1. I will be in NY on Sunday Sept 9th, though if anyone wants to meet.

If I had a bunch of kids then that would be me. We got six of them :eek: I am trying to remember you, I belive you said you had red hair and tatoos??? I think I remember you but next time you see me in class make a point of introducing yourself, okay?
I will plan on attending the Tourney on the 29th so maybe we can get together during or after and grad a bite to eat. I don’t think Sifu is planning to attend, though. There is also a Francis Fong seminar near the end of the month of September.
I feel your pain :rolleyes: imagine having to be in Belize. How long will you be there? I tried to convince my wife that we should retire down there. She is more inclined toward Georgia though 
All things considered I would rather be in Belize
