I’m going to be in San Francisco for a week at the end of May, and was wondering if there were any wing chun students on here who attend classes out there that wouldn’t mind a visitor. I’m always interested in seeing how others do their wing chun, and comparing notes.

You’re more than welcomed to visit our school. As it stands, we’re currently in a state of flux, but our most recent location is in the basement of a dorm in Stanford. We’re been sharing the class with the Stanford group for the past couple of months. The address can be found here (http://wingchun.stanford.edu/) but you will almost certainly get lost trying to find it. If you wish, shoot me an email (alan_ngai@yahoo.com) if you want to meet me at a more accessible place, and I can take you through the maze to get to the class.
If you’re willing to make your way a little ****her south, Ben’s class (http://www.wingchun.com/sjclass.html) would also be a good place to visit. Very friendly group of people.

I certainly did enjoy my trip to San Francisco. The weather there was so great that I hardly wanted to come back to the god forsaken Texas summer heat. I had a nice visit to your school, as well as meeting up with Alan from the Ken Cheung group in Stanford as well. Sadly, those were the only two “groups” I got to visit with, but I had a nice time seeing the sites and taking in the local flavor with my girlfriend. I really needed the vacation.
