I was wondering if there is anyone out there that could provide concrete proof of who the current head of Kwong Sai Jook Lum Gee is. It is well known that the last head was Fourth Generation Grand Master Lum Wing Fay. It has been disputed for a long time who Master Fay passed the title on to. Many think it is Master Henry Poo Yee, while many others believe it to be Master Gin Foon Mark. Could someone help clarify this…please? Thanks!

On a serious note though, does it really matter if he’s the lineage holder or not? I know that GFM is definitely a disciple and was given permission to teach. So i would think that this is the most important factor. I know that its frustrating cuz claims have been made and stuff, but in the end does it really matter? Politics Schmolitics i say… Unless you start talking bout hung gar lineages, then i’ll have to bust a cap!!!
In my mind, what seems to be the most significant factor in this type of online discussion, is that no matter who we are discussing, the real teachers (all of whom mentioned above) never get involved. Probably, they are too busy training / teaching. Even more, they could care less what we think of them (the old “pride/ego factor”). The Art itself seems to mean more to them than their perceived “legitimacy” - even on such an incredible medium to the world as this forum (of course, most of them know each other anyway)!
I am well aware that many real masters “monitor” these lines through their well-intentioned students, but hasn’t anyone noticed they rarely, if ever, really say anything here?!?
Should that not be a very significant hint to us about the value of all such topics?
Very well said. I understand what you’re saying. I am pursuing this for myself, and not much more. Thank you for your 2 cents, they are greatly appreciated.
Kevin, everything you stated was wonderful if only it were true. The truth is all the above Masters have made outrageous claims even to the point of anointment through devine right through Grandmaster Lam Sangs altar. This is not to disparage the skill level of these Masters. That is up to the individual to decide.
