The “white-haired devil” was a nickname of Hung Ju Sing, a well known Hung Fut sifu. If I am not mistaken he is Yim Tai Sifu’s sigung. He was very well known for his “mad devil staff”, which is a left handed staff set unique to Hung Fut since generally southern staff sets are right handed.

You are correct the left hand is a trademark of Hung Fut hence the mad devil staff being a left handed staff.
