I give up

Is it you?

:stuck_out_tongue:

Sweet lord above…

wtf? :stuck_out_tongue:

Their website is a trip too, neofascist ideology masked by sci fi.

I didn’t get that far into the site. Glad I didn’t now.

Thanks for jumping on that space mine, Samwise85.

That being said, the dark side is clearly fascist.

That’s definitely true Gene, but the dude that started the site goes further, noting that the Third Reich was the first real attempt at “Endarkment” (their term for their philosophical end goals) in history. That was the argument that really creeped me out.

I rarely get creeped out by deluded idiots.

I do find them somewhat amusing at times though. :stuck_out_tongue:

But here’s a messed up fact. In the star wars fan fiction mythology which ties it all together as you may know, the Sith are actually the good guys and the Jedi are nothing but a hand wringing bunch of goody goodies who don’t realize that their peacenik ways are going to get their entire galaxy destroyed by the Yuuzhan Vong.

That’s definitely Lucas.
That’s definitely Lucas.
All do respect to his films, some of which I love. George Lucas is a douchebag.

Haha…

I was talking about our forum member Lucas.

For archival sake…

…it’s worthy of note that this weirdness is going on at the same time that our Star Wars Episode 7 thread has been active with it’s own weirdness. I got a bad feeling about this.
But here’s a messed up fact…
A fact? A fact about fiction?
I was talking about our forum member Lucas. ;)
roflmao

Maybe our forum member Lucas is George. That would explain a few things for sure.

Heh, yeah maybe its all a viral campaign designed by Disney to hype Episode seven.

@ Jameson. That’s really interesting, I never got too far into the extended universe beyond the Galactic Civil War (loved the Rogue Squadron books), but I could see the Sith acting as anti-heros of sorts being rather compelling.

That’s funny. I like KFM Lucas. I think he would make a great Sith Lord. The job requires that Lucas style of absurd humour! Eventually he’ll turn on Bawang and take his on own apprentice.
A fact? A fact about fiction?

.
yes, it is fictionally factual…or factually fictional.

Otherwise, all is boobs!

I never got into the books

I keep thinking I should pick one up at the used bookstore, but I read so much already that Star Wars pulp just doesn’t hold that much appeal.
all is boobs!
Your jedi boob tricks are working!
All do respect to his films, some of which I love. George Lucas is a douchebag.
yea he is a total douchebag, how dare he not only sell his company and franchise for 4 billion dollars, but then he gives the 4 billion dollars away to education? oh yea man… he is a total effing douchebag…there is a special place in hell for people like him, who sell a billion dollar franchise that he created and then give away the proceeds…

The plot thickens.

I know right? How dare he do such a thing that will only lead to people being helped in a fashion they require and that ultimately will lead to another small piece of happiness in their lives.

Stupid jerk. He’s not anywhere enough the animal he needs to be. I’ve had it with his secular humanist compassionate views. Grrrrr.

:stuck_out_tongue:

I met him, spent the day in the same room pretty much. He was nice to me, but he was a real dick to a few people who were just happy to meet their hero. Those people allow him to make billions to give away and they deserve more respect. He treated them like cockroaches that were just in his way. And since it was a meet and greet scenario, you can’t say he was distracted while working or too busy to be friendly.

Rockerfellers were and are huge philanthropists. I do not believe all those Rockerfellers involved are good people without a personal agenda.

I’m kind of on the fence with Bill Gates. Time will tell. I like what he’s doing with polio. I hate what he’s doing for things like freedom and equality in tech terms. So we’ll see.

Anyways, outside of what I personally witnessed, I have no real opinion. I like some of his movies. Love a few. But he was not cool that day.
