not bad, but virtua fighter will always be the be all end all.
Did you notice how in this samurai game, all of the guys’ techniques look exactly the same? That’s real martial arts! fighting transcends style, and that’s apparent here.

Virtua Fighter 4 for PS2 is pure gold.

tekken will always reign supreme fighter in my book.
i dont have a damn thing bad to say about sc2 or vf4 though. mk5 is a solid fighter too, but is overshadowed by all of the above.
never been much of one for doa, but i dont know if i have given it enough of a chance.

Soul Caliber 2 was great. VF 4 was decent, with Evolution fixing the flaws. I really enjoyed the Deadly Alliance for MK. Looing forward to Deception. It’s gonna have updates of a lot of characters, Baraka’s gonna be back, stuff looks awesome.

I was reading about deception the other day - it’s gonna be badass. baraka, sindel, mileena and ermac are all back. There’s a character that looks like nightwolf and a chick that looks like she could be related to raiden…
VF will always dominate over tekken in my book because of the realism factor - no chi blasts, not alot of ultra exotic impossible moves, etc.
This thread made me reminisce - I broke out my dreamcast and have been playing VF3, SC and shenmue.

Anyone remember the SNK fighters? I used to have 'em all emulat4d on my comp, including Mark of the Wolves, but had to wipe my hard drive

There was never actually an ermac originally. A rumor started that when a glitch occured in the game, the error message “ERror MACros” would appear, and you would have to fight ermac while the system “fixed” itself. Supposedly, there was no possible way to beat ermac. The rumors spread like wildfire, and everyone began trying to figure out ways to unlock him and get him to appear.
Finally, in MK3, the game developers added him to the game as an unlockable character.
Well, I cam into the VF tale kinda late. VF 4 was my first exposure to it.
