Nope, wasn’t trying for an Uchi Mata. The guy I picked this up off of calls it a “Russian Step Single.”
The way it works is pretty simple. As somebody goes for a standard collar and elbow tie, you shuck them off into a two on one russian tie.
As you do it though, you step in between their legs with the same side leg as you have the russian tie. You want to be fairly close to his near side leg or the next bit doesn’t just happen nicely.
As you turn back into him, your knee is going to raise their leg up off the ground for you. Grab and drive to finish.
Pretty slick, huh? Not me, really–the move.

Russian tie- please explain.
Grab a partner.
Have the partner face you.
Have the partner lock up with one hand behind your neck.
Put your far side hand over top of the forearm/wrist that is on your head. Grab (hook, not thumb and fingers.)
Pinch your shoulder to your ear.
Turn your body to straighten and extend his arm.
Pull the arm across your chest and pin the wrist to your chest.
Hook his arm above the elbow with your near side arm. Your shoulder/chest should be pressing hard against his tricep, as tight to the shoulder as you can get it.
Continue applying pressure and keeping it all tight. It’s a set up to various things.
Ahh… Ive got a general idea, but will have to wait to try on cpa to actually feel it.
