What are your opinions on these videos?
Well…that first technique looked pretty weak, to tell the truth.
The initial block looks like a detached movement (arm moves without cooperation from footwork/body), and from what I can see he makes no attempt to move out of harms way (just relying on the intercept succeeding). I don’t know if I’d be so quick to say it’s “wrong”, but at least I’ll say if I were demonstrating a technique I felt was indicative of bagua strategy, it wouldn’t look much like that.
Also, watch his back foot reset (stutter-step) before his near foot steps forward. A time-waste and a big no-no.
Haven’t gotten to see the other techniques yet, just thought I’d comment on that one.
