That dude is really unorthodox, but he’s fun to watch.

yeah i guess unorthodox would be a good way to describe yao’s MMA fighting style. we trained 99& percent shuai jiao,when i trained under yao,rolled just a few times,played around with mma sparring once that i remember. so i don’t know much about his MMA fighting style. but i can tell you about his shuai jiao style it is based on his strength,he seemed to cut a lot of weight for this fight. he used to be stocky for his size. at the time he was about 1 45 ,I’m 165 he would man handle me easily. he has the strength of a 200 pounder

thanks gene thanks lucas. i haven’t seen yao in over a year cause i moved to shenzhen and he is still in beijing. we chat from time to time. if i hear anything about his career i will keep you up dated. i am guessing he will be working on defending his title in the mean time.
