It saddens me that my lifelong friend Sijo Carl Totton passed away last night. He was one of my four training partners from back in the 60’s. He now joins my other training partner GM Tom Chan in the heavenly realm along with all of our mentors and peers that have gone ahead of us. Rest in Paradise until we meet again. I met him a few times in passing over the years. We never had a deep conversation but he was always cordial, always a gentleman.

Condolences to his family, to the California martial arts scene.

Early on, Sifu Totten gravitated towards the spiritual side of the Chinese martial arts. It was as if he was being called. He listened.
