I am deeply saddened to share the passing of my dear friend and brother, Bob Maschmeier. We first met back in the late 1960s, and from that moment, a strong friendship grew into an unbreakable brotherhood.
Walking side by side in the same martial arts path and within the same organization, we shared countless joyful memories as well as some of life’s hardest moments. Those years only bonded us closer, shaping a connection that went far beyond the training hall.
The news of his passing has struck me hard and left me at a loss for words. Though a few years younger than me, losing him feels like losing a true brother. Accepting this is not easy—it is painful—but I take comfort knowing that one day we will all meet again in that great Kajukenbo reunion in Heaven, under God’s embrace.

I met GM Maschmeier a few times through Tiger Claw. We never had a long discussion but he was always warm and friendly.
