Best martial arts mag out there. A wide variety. In depth, cool stuff all around. I think its an affiliate of Blackbelt. Its worth a look.
PS. Kungfumagazine…stop with the wing chun. Its cool, but I’m sure there are other styles of martial arts out there. Give em some spotlight.

Stacey, no hate statement here. Wing Chun is popular, so more people can write about it. If you want, you can write an article to KF/QG about Mantis. There is a link on here somewhere about how to write an article for the magazine. And the last issue of KFO I bought featured only one thing about Wing Chun, that book about Yip Man. It also covered Hung Gar, Shuai Chiao and other stuff. Its just that Wing Chun is so common that more people write about it.
Im serious, I like KF/QG because it covers alot of styles of CMA. In Blackbelt it seems to be NHB every issue, I don’t like that. I still remember the first issue I got (Drunken Choy Lay Fut) and still have it. I have no problem if Wing Chun is in every issue, don’t care if Mantis is in every issue. No matter if every issue for the next 2 years features Shaolin or Hung Gar or Choy Lay Fut, I am sure there is something I can learn from it that I didnt know before. A new technique I can use during class to simulate fighting perhaps when we do different attacks against Wing Tsun. Even if I can’t do the technique correctly, I can learn from it. And no I’m not saying I’ll do the technique on the street 
that makes sense.
I just get curious about real monkey style, hung gar, weapon stuff.
Wing Chun world
Because the Wing Chunners are the most prolific writers. I really respect that, actually, and I wish other styles were as serious about contributing to their field, and ours.
But when martial artists say “you research it” sure, I research my own styles, I even cover some other styles when the inclination takes me, but you should do your own research, and if it’s worth sharing, feel free to send it to us. No porn though, Stacey. We appreciate your criticism as much as you appreciate being able to use this forum.
As for new magazines, its a strange phenomena of the way the distribution business works - it’s easier to start a new magazine, then kill it. As long as you have some advertisers, you can make some money, but it’s sort of a scam - take the money and run, if you will. In our business, you don’t get sales stats for six months to a year. Without sales stats, the distributors have nothing to go on and since it’s a fresh addition to any newsstand, it gets some placement. But if they don’t make their quotas, they’ll be cut back after a year or so. Generally, new mags will dies within two years.

I didn’t mean any criticism. I think your magazine is the best out there. This current issue of Budo was very very good though.
Personally I think Kungfumagazine is kicking Insidekungfu’s ass as well as blackbelts.

A lot of styles got their own publications, and most of their stylists will write for those.
Many of which are often not sold via stores.
Just my 0.2 cents worth.
What is he writing about? Drunken boxing?
