Naming your own martial arts?

Mat, I thought your martial arts were about self-defence from fresh fruit.
You know, “If anyone ever attacks you with a raspberry, simply pull the lever…and a sixteen-ton weight will drop on his head. I learnt that in Malaya.”

As for names: how about In Nuen Do? Cres Cen Do?

LOL

Us English are all retards!

But hell, was it effective!

“So what about Danish arts..?”

Like doobie quan or Dank Soo Doo?

lofl… Im in a little trouble now cause one of our major suppliers just called, and I gave the guy a hard time cause I thought he was a prank caller… But its not my fault. Had to use a voice box due to throat cancer… sounded funny on the phone, like someone calling w/a voice changer.

Sorry, It’s been done already. It’s called Taijiquan.

Literal word by word translation:

tai = great; ultimate; too much
ji = extreme
quan = martial arts style; fist

oh yeah,

And your theory is right. It is raking in a few $$$!!!

I have my own art because i practice mostly outside dojo, and my own concept, but i dont belive in styles however.
well i need to learn more art to progress in my way,
lets say in 10 years i’ll tell a name
but there will be no need for there’s only one student

i’ve got several

“Not-conning-money-but-just-cost-an-arm-and-a-leg-do” Which in the first year you will be taught the “Bad-mouthing-jitsu” and the “Finger-giving-kuen”. Afterwards, in responce to the counter attacks resulting from using these, you will learnt the “Bribing-cos-money-solves-all-fighting-sitaution-peacefully-jitsu” as well as the “posing-to-look-tough-kuen”. Now, in the rare instances where your opponent was trained for such techniques, the “Biting-quan” and “projectile-throwing-zhan” will be used ( this of course, will already be in the fifth year of training ). In order to reach grandmastery of the art, the last two secret styles of “Turn-tail-and-run-do” and “Kneel-then-beg-for-mercy-quan” will be taught in your 15th year of training.

The most widespread danish arts are: AAhh-dont-hurt-mee-do
dont-f*ck-around-fu

that’ll show you my country’s mentality

Shaolin-do: We don’t say “danke”, we’re not Nazis or something..

Quiet Man: What do you mean, “veninde”? I’m a MAN!!  just playin ya.
how do you know that word? I know many jugoslavians live in Denmark Bcause of the war. have any relatives here?
and no, have’nt got any plans for going to Croatia, exept if the travel is gonna be wery cheap!

“your own art”???

How about “dance of the ego” or “i didn’t want to study for real so i made this up”?

If you have laid out a system and method for conveying a martial art, then give props where props are due.
You would know that what you have gained from your sources is what you have pieced together from those sources.

Recognize that in the beginning, you had zip, nada, nothing and that you owe recognition to those who came before.

I always get a chuckle out of these people who watch a few movies get all excited and decide they have to create their own personal martial art that will defeat all!

Even the great founders of many styles gave props to the foundations they came from.

No man is an island.

cheers

Is ‘ven’ male form of ‘friend’? But you’ll notice I wrote ven(inde) ;).

I don’t know the prices of plane or train tickets, but if you do ever come, I promise I’ll give you a free tour :).

ven is male for friend, veninde is female.
Thanks for the offer, but I think I’ll pass:)

I hear Croatia is THE best European tourist destination. Mediteranean climate. Lots of historical artifacts and about one third the price of Italy for the same climate. Beautiful countryside…and the land mines have been cleaned up or fenced off from what I understand.

I knew a guy from Croatia a few years back. Sergion, he taught me how to kill a man with a shovel. Evidently, all high school kids learned this. Times have changed though. Time to get a mortgage on a hotel.
